2025 Canton Art on Main Artist Application

  • Submit artist information via the form below with three images of your art and one of booth set-up display by the application deadline of February 12th.
  • All artists are required to submit images with their application. Three sample images of artwork and one of booth set up. Images may be uploaded via the form below or emailed to mainstreet@cantonillinois.org.
  • Mail Booth fee of $100 payable to Canton Main Street, 48 N. Main St. Canton, IL 61520.
  • Provide a biography for marketing purposes via the form below or emailed to mainstreet@cantonillinois.org.
  • Be present with my work on Saturday, June 7th from 9:00am – 4:30pm, and Sunday, June 8th from 9:00am – 3:00pm. No early tear down.
  • Abide by participation policies. (Participation policies may be found via the drop downs below.)
  • Bear all risk and expenses for any damage, loss, or theft of my artwork or other personal property or injury to my person regardless of cause. I also assume all risk and liability for claims alleging copyright or trademark infringement or the misappropriation of images or ideas.

    Participation Policies

    Participation Policies

    • Artwork must be original. Commercial molds and kits may not be used.
    • Reproductions must be clearly identified. No more than 20% of display may be devoted to reproductions. All work must be for sale.
    • Calendars, coloring books, food items, t-shirts, or velvet prints are not allowed under these policies. Ceramics made from commercial molds, commercially fabricated jewelry forms and settings, and items made from hobby store kits are also not acceptable.
    • Art on Main committee will monitor booths during the weekend. If rules have not been followed, artists may be asked to leave. The committee’s judgment is final and no refunds will be given.
    • No refunds for cancellations will be given.
    • Artists must be present both days. No agents allowed.
    • Artists should plan to exhibit rain or shine.
    • Pets are allowed, but must be leashed.
    Awards

    Awards, except for Mayor’s Choice, are decided by an art professional.

    (Winner of Best of Show will not be considered for their category award. Must have at least two entrants for category awards to be given.)

    Booth Space

    Jones Park offers up to 40 booth spaces on grass or concrete. Booths will be 10’ wide by 10’ deep. White tent is suggested. All set-up items must be provided by the artist. Gas generators are not permitted. Staking is permitted on grass only.

    Hospitality

    Complimentary morning coffee and refreshments are available to artists both days in the gazebo. Booth sitters will be available for breaks and cold water will be delivered to booths throughout the day. Lunch options include vendors on the grounds and nearby restaurants.
