Garbage pick-up for residents with-in the city limits is paid for through your water and sewer invoice. Contact the Canton Public Works Department at (309) 647-5022 to determine your pick-up day.

The City of Canton maintains a yard waste disposal site for the dumping of grass clippings, tree or bush trimmings, discarded landscaping plants, limbs and other bio-degradable materials. Visit the Streets & Garbage page for more information.

Recycling services in Canton are available from a private outside contractor who provides containers for qualifying recyclable materials. No sorting is required. The service is billed independently by the contractor.
